Meet Toodie…….
Toodie is survivor, tiny and mighty, this little girl came into our care last summer, she had been fed cow’s milk. You can see by her photo that her little body is malnourished. You can count her ribs, and her hair was falling out.
Toodie was approximately 5-6weeks old when she came into our care and weighed only 200 grams; she was the size and weight of a 2 week old cub.
Cow’s milk should never be fed to wildlife. Toodie was starving, her little body could not digest the cow’s milk she was being fed, and she screamed constantly.
With the proper care and diet, Toodie has been thriving and will be released when the natural food supplies are available this spring. (Click on photo to enlarge)
